Blora - A total of 4 villages in Cepu sub-district, Blora, were hit by strong winds. As a result, a number of trees fell. Two houses belonging to residents were badly damaged due to being hit by the wind and being hit by trees.
Blora's Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) rapid reaction team member, Agung Tri, said that strong winds occurred on Saturday (3/11) night. The 4 affected villages were Tambakromo, Balun, Nglanjuk and Kentong villages. Whereas 1 damaged housing unit is the Salamun milk house (46) located in Kentong village.
"There were no fatalities in these two incidents, but the loss was estimated at Rp. 53 million," Agung Tri said when confirmed Sunday (4/11) morning.
While in Nglanjuk Village, a large tree fell and closed the main road connecting the village. And the house belonging to Hariyono (53) who was in Nglanjuk Village was damaged by a tree.
In Tambakromo and Balun Villages, a number of Pohom also collapsed because of being hit by a tornado. Combined officers from the BPBD, the police, and the TNI plunged into a number of these locations to evacuate fallen trees so as not to close the main road.
"In Tambakromo the fallen tree closes the provincial road of Cepu-Singget, while in the village of Balun the fallen tree closes the bypass road, making traffic flow stagnant," he explained.
Until Sunday morning, officers were still inventorying the damage caused by the tornado. While the flow of traffic at a number of points has been decomposed because the tree has been successfully removed from the road body.
